Barbara Farnham

Barbara Farnham, 82 of Salem NH passed from this life at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. She leaves her brother Joseph, John, Franklyn and Kenneth, whom she loved very much. She is predeceased by her mother, Emily (Barrett), her father, William J. and her brother, William F.

A graduate of Lawrence High School, Barbara was employed by Lawrence Pump, Inc. for over 20 years where she worked as an office administrator for the Manufacturing Department, obtaining quotes from vendors and working in close collaboration with engineers.

Barbara was also very closely involved with her immediate family and was a devoted, dedicated daughter and sister.

In addition to being a tireless worker and committed family member, Barbara thoroughly enjoyed life. She possessed a great sense of humor and loved activities including playing cards, deep sea fishing and visiting the beach, frequently in the company of her beloved brother Frank.

Everyone who met her instantly loved her and enjoyed her infectious laugh and mischievous sense of humor. She also possessed a sense of great generosity, profound strength and an almost indomitable will.

These attributes were deeply rooted in Barbara’s faith. She was an active member of Mary Queen of Peace Church, Salem, NH. Her special contribution to the church was voluntarily and routinely cleaning and refreshing the crown of flowers on the statue of the Virgin Mary, which stands outside the church.

Barbara faced adversity with courage, grace, strength, laughter and a positive attitude. She leaves an enormous void in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. She is deeply and sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at 11:00 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Waverley Road, North Andover, MA.
