Barbara A. (Lee) Caux

Barbara Ann (Lee) Caux, 79, of Methuen, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 24, 2021.  Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Caux her parents, Joseph and Mary Lee and stepson, Joseph (Bobby) Caux.

 Barbara was born in Lawrence on January 15, 1942,  She was a graduate of St. Mary Girls Grammar School and St. Mary Girls High School in Lawrence.  In addition to raising her four children, she was active with Methuen’s School Committee for two terms.  She was employed at the Lawrence Court House as well as Methuen’s City Clerks Office.  She resided in Methuen since her marriage.

 Barbara had a larger than life personality and was a great friend to all.  She was always willing to lend support when needed.  Her home was a place where everyone felt welcome.  She was a devoted wife and mother.

 Barbara is survived by her sons, David and his wife Fran of Chester, NH and Douglas and his wife Alma of Florida; her daughters, Donna Silva of Methuen and Dena Miller and her husband Eric of Lawrence.  She is also survived by eleven beloved grandchildren and five great grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Lee and his wife, Elaine of Lawrence, several nieces and nephews, and a “special” cousin and his wife, Ned and Gerry Joyce of Amesbury.

 Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 29, 2021,  at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lawrence.  It would be appreciated that COVID-19 precautions be observed with social distancing.  For directions and online condolences, please visit www.dewhirstbolesfuneral.com
