Annmarie T. Boyden – Methuen, MA

Annmarie T. Boyden, 76, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29th, 2024, at the High Pointe House in Haverhill surrounded by her family after a brief illness and fighting a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Annmarie was the beloved wife of the late Joseph H. Boyden. They were married 46 years. They raised their family in Somerville, MA before moving to Methuen 13 years ago. They spent many summers on Cape Cod and in Wolfeboro, NH with the kids. After retiring Annmarie and Joe spent time travelling with family. The final family trip before Joe’s passing was a trip to the lake house in New Hampshire.  After Joe’s passing, she spent her time enjoying her grandchildren at sporting events, the beach, and gatherings for dinner.

Annmarie was born in Boston, MA and graduated from Somerville High School in 1965 and Somerville Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as nurse for many years before working as a Pharmacy tech at Somerville Hospital before retiring. 

She was the loving mother to Joseph L. Boyden of Dracut, Kevin J. Boyden of Clearwater, FL and his companion Sarah Boyle and her daughter Cadence, Amy M. Boyden of Methuen, and Carole A. Williams and her husband Mike of Pelham, NH. She was a loving Grandma to Keegan, Molly, Ryan, Colin and Dylan and Krug (German Shepherd). Sister of Lorraine Musto and her husband David of Salem, NH, Bette Musto and her husband Richard of Burlington, MA, and the deceased Michael Powers. Dear sister-in-law of William Boyden of Somerville, MA and Jeanne Boyden of Chelmsford, MA.  Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She will be missed dearly by all.

Predeceased by her parents Albert and Viola Powers, her parents-in-law Clifton and Margeret Boyden, brothers-in-law, Paul Boyden (Barbara), Robert Boyden, Daniel Boyden, and James Boyden and sister-in-law Joan Boyden.

Calling hours are Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4-8 PM at Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11 AM at Saint Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will follow the Mass in Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street in Methuen.
