Anne Marie (Gosselin) Tataronis

Anne Marie (Gosselin) Tataronis, 83, of Methuen, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023, after a long illness.

The daughter of Doris A. and Ernest N. Gosselin, she was born on February 11, 1940. Anne Marie and her future husband Robert graduated from Tenney High School in 1957. She then attended Merrimack College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/History in 1961.

Beginning in 1963, Anne Marie was employed full-time in Methuen as a teacher of English and History. During her career, she had the opportunity to teach grades seven, eight, and nine at various schools within the Methuen Public School System. Beloved by students and colleagues alike, she retired from teaching in March 2001 after 38 years of dedicated service.

Anne Marie was very likeable and had lots of friends whom she treated as family. She helped many of them by providing car rides, especially for the elderly. She was thoughtful and giving, volunteering at the local Festival of Trees and contributing generously to the Lazarus House during the holiday season. Anne Marie loved attending craft fairs with her best friend, Judith Entwistle. She enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, and playing bingo. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her devoted husband Robert and her one and only son, Gary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Tataronis of Methuen, MA, her son Gary Tataronis of Methuen, MA, sister-in-law Janet Tatarunis of Westford, MA, nieces Tara Stevens of Pelham, NH and Jami Entwistle of Lancaster, MA, and nephew Jeff Tatarunis of Nashua, NH.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be private, at a later date.
