Aida Correa – Lawrence, MA

Aida Correa, 94, of Lawrence, MA, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2021.  She was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico where she obtained her high school diploma.

Aida was a very hard worker, she came to Lawrence, MA in 1965 and worked for Prince Macaroni for over 30 years before retiring. In retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, dominos, the lottery and trips to the casino.

Aida is preceded in death by her parents, Pilar and Pedro Fontanez, her 4 sisters, Lydia Torres, Ana Vega, Maximina and Julia Fontanez, her brother, Juan Fontanez, her son, Roberto Correa, and her granddaughter, Jennifer Correa. She is survived by her sister, Catalina Romero, 2 brothers, Manuel and Jose Fontanez, 2 daughters, Mirta Guevara and fiancé Mark Nugent and Jennie Taveras and her husband Elias, her son-in-law Juan Guevara, her grandchildren, Tania and Tina Taveras, Mandy and Yani Guevara, Derek Correa.  Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends also survive her.

Calling hours are Friday February 5, 2021 from 6 – 8:00 PM at Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of The Assumption Parish, 300 Haverhill Street in Lawrence.  Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
