Vincent C. Bolis, 99, a lifelong resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, with his three children at his side.
The son of the late Charles and Mary (Rameika) Bolis, Vincent was born in Lawrence on October 21, 1918. He was educated in Lawrence schools. He was employed as a welder for General Dynamics, and became a supervisor that worked alongside his men for many years. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Vincent loved his wife and family and loved the outdoors. He took great pride in his vegetable garden.
The husband of the late Jean (Charest) Bolis, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage until her death, Vincent is survived by his sons, Richard Bolis and his wife Linda, and Robert Bolis and his wife Lynn; his daughter, Jeanne Lombardi; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Vincent was predeceased by his wife, Jean (Charest) Bolis; his son, Vincent Bolis; his daughters, Barbara Fast and Donna Carini, and grandson, Anthony Carini.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 12, 2018, at 12 Noon at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at the funeral home.
