Victoria (Rajewski) Donovan, 93, of Salem, NH, formerly of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019 at her residence at Salem Woods.
The daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Anna (Jackowski) Rajewski, Victoria was born in Lawrence on February 28, 1926. She was educated in Methuen schools. She was a longtime and devout member of Grace Episcopal Church of Lawrence. She was employed at the former Bolta Rubber Company, and also as a teacher’s aide at the Storrow School in Lawrence. With her late husband Raymond, she was an avid polka dancer attending many polka festivals. Victoria also enjoyed bingo and bowling, and resided in Lawrence until moving to Salem, NH, nine months ago.
Victoria was the wife of the late Raymond Eastwood Donovan, who passed away in February, 2006, and is survived by a son, Raymond E. Donovan, Jr. of Haverhill, two daughters, Gail A. Melen and her husband Frederick E. Melen of Londonderry, NH, and Lynda L. Moore and her husband Kevin A. Moore of Londonderry, NH, and six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a Requiem Eucharist at Grace Episcopal Church, 35 Jackson St., Lawrence, MA on Friday, August 2, 2019, at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. At the request of the family there are no calling hours.
