Theresa Riley Obituary
Theresa H. Riley, 51, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on January 23, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born to the late James and Marie (Casey) Riley, on July 13, 1967 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Theresa graduated from Salem High School in 1985 and received an Associates Degree in Medical and Secretary Transcription from Mount Washington College.
Theresa is survived by her two daughters, Taylor Mabardy of Nashua, NH, and Cristen Mabardy of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Silver of Manchester, NH, and several other close family members and friends.
Theresa held a position as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant at Tallman Eye Associates for several years before turning her passion of animals into an in-home career. Theresa was immensely proud of her family, loved her cat, Mason, and truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; taking pride of her backyard, going to Newfound Lake, entertaining friends and family, collecting bird nests and cooking. Theresa overcame many of life’s difficulties, but one she is most proud of was being a breast cancer survivor.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday January 29, 2019 from 4pm to 6:30pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:30pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests that contributions in support Neurofibromatosis (NF) research, in lieu of sending flowers, as Theresa took pride in supporting and raising awareness for NF research.
