Raymond Poirier, 60, died peacefully Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Lahey Clinic after a long illness. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on June 6, 1958, Ray was the son of Joseph and Diana (Baldinelli) Poirier. Ray was a graduate of Everett High School. He spent his career working as a chef, most recently at Market Basket.
Ray is survived by his wife Marcie Gabriel Poirier and his two beloved daughters, Emma G. Poirier and Sara A. Poirier, and his grandson, Levi Raymond, all of Haverhill. His brother in law, Edmond D. Gabriel and his wife, Dianne Gabriel of North Andover. His brother in law Thomas W. Gabriel of Methuen. He is also survived by his father, Joseph Poirier, and his sister, Denise Sumner, of Carver, followed by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Diana.
Ray loved to play the guitar and listen to U2, Cold Play and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He was a phenomenal chef and loved his daughters and his grandson.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, August 3, 2018, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
