Ralph D. Thibault

Ralph D. Thibault, 91, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Bedford, MA.

The son of the late Remie and Annie (Hadfield) Thibault, Ralph was born in Lawrence on June 13, 1928. He was educated and raised in Methuen. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Army Air Force with the Military Police in the occupation of Japan, as well as an acting Staff Sergeant. After his discharge, he was employed as a lab technician at the former Oxford Paper Mill in Lawrence until his retirement. He specialized in watch repair and wood carvings. Ralph also enjoyed traveling with his late wife to many places. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 122 of Methuen and the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.).

The Husband of the late Dorothy C. (Stapleton) Thibault, who died in 2008, Ralph is survived by his son, Danny J. Thibault of Methuen, his daughter and her husband, Linda and Paul LaPlume of Bradford, 5 grandchildren, Kara Thibault, Angela Broady, Joseph Grande, Kerry Mithen, and Zachary Mithen, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was predeceased by his sister Doris Martin, daughter-in-law Dianne Thibault and her two daughters, Catherine Marie Thibault and Jessica Lynn Thibault.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA, 01844. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM in St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
