Paul H. Siegel, 97, of Methuen, died September 13, 2019 at his home.
Paul was born and raised in Methuen and has lived in Methuen his entire life.
He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the North Africa, Italy and the Philippines with Co A 753rd Railway Shop Battalion of the U.S. Army.
A machinist by trade, he retired from Raytheon in 1990. Paul enjoyed woodworking in his basement workshop. He also loved reading, movies, music, vacationing and spending time with his friends and family.
He was a longtime, active member of Christ United Methodist Church, Lawrence, and has enjoyed the community of Senior Link at Free Christian Church in Andover for the past several years.
Paul is predeceased by his wife, Bernice (Marsland) Siegel and his daughter, Debra (Siegel) Warren.
Surviving family members include his son-in-law, Harry Warren of Methuen; his son, Mark Siegel and his wife, Colette of Methuen; his sister-in-law, Ada Matey of Methuen; his grandchildren, Beth, Meghan, Alyssa, Lauren and William; and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kiah, Lindsay and Olivia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Paul was beloved by all and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 5:30 PM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/ways-to-give
