Paul L. Schermerhorn

Paul L. Schermerhorn, 54, son of the late Leonard and Katherine Marie (Coveny) Schermerhorn, died suddenly at his home on January 3, 2019. Paul was born in Arlington, MA of February 20, 1964.

Paul was a graduate of the Blue Hills Regional Technical School in 1982, and worked for many years at Il Panino Restaurant in Cambridge. He was currently employed in facilities maintenance at the Nevins Memorial Library and at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, both in Methuen. Paul loved his work, and was a very dedicated and hard-working employee. He had a wonderful sense of humor, great loyalty, and kindness that he did not want everyone to know about. He was a private person, and respectful of those around him. He loved his dogs, and had an interest in Harley motorcycles.

He was a sincere and generous friend, and will be greatly missed by his co-workers at the Nevins Library and by the Parishioners of St. Andrew's. He leaves his friends, Donna Sellers of Wilmington, MA, Laura Carreiro of Wilmington, MA and Lois M. Sestito of Methuen. He also leaves his beloved dog, Blue.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service for Paul on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:30AM in the Elmwood Cemetery, 130 North Lowell Street (Rt. 113), Methuen. A memorial service will follow at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, in St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 90 Broadway (Rt. 28), Methuen. A reception will follow in the church hall; Relatives and friends are cordially invited. Arrangements are under the care of Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
