Paul Emile Dufour

Paul Emile Dufour, 94, of Lawrence passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018 at Mary Immaculate Nursing & Restorative Center, Lawrence, surrounded by his family.  Mr Dufour was born and raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.  Paul served with The US Army Air Corps during WW II. He was a B25 bomber pilot and trainer.  He worked for 25 years as a master mechanic with Brox Construction Co. and was a 55 year member of the Hoisting Engineers Local, #4.  Paul was a longtime active member of Sacred Heart Parish, Lawrence where he was president of The St. Vincent De Paul Society. He also volunteered at the church bingo games as well as the bingo games at Central Catholic High School. Paul enjoyed gardening and flying and especially loved being with his family, children, grandchildren and many pets.

Paul was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy T. Dufour.  His family members include his daughters, Pauline M. O’Brien of Mountain View, CA and her significant other, John Baker and Susan M. Suslavich and her husband, Dennis Suslavich of Haverhill, MA.  He also leaves his sons, Ronald P. Dufour of Putnam, CT. and his partner, Sara Freedman of Cambridge, MA and Kenneth P. Dufour and his wife, Paula Dufour of Lowell, VT. Paul leaves 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Sarah, Lauren and Daniel and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 6 sisters and 2 brothers and his granddaughter, Ariel Dufour and his son-in-law, Herb O’Brien.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday June 23, 2018 from 9am to 10 am at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover.
