Mirtha Peña-Perez Obituary

It is with great sadness we the family of Mirtha M. Pena-Perez announce that Mirtha would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, on April 7th, 2018 a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, and she will not be returning from that appointment. Her new mission comes with a fantastic sign-on bonus, a reunion with God, family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her profession guarantee is indeed at 110 percent. Her new position takes her to a wonderful site where socializing, mingling, viniculture and reading is out of this world much to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are more than ensured. The cuisine is delicious, and she will keep her figure as sexy as ever, securing she will never gain an extra ounce. She left meticulous instructions for me and the children to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. She specifically stated that “low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated”.

Mirtha was born in Santiago, Dom. Rep., and attended Universidad Tecnologica de Santiago, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1985. She became fully licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1986. Mirtha worked for Seguros Popular in the International Investments Division. Later Mirtha was appointed as the Comptroller of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation a government post she held until moving permanently to the USA.  As a person having a thirst for knowledge Mirtha sought and obtained an MBA from Cambridge College graduating on top of her class with “Distinctive Honors.” She was also a Registered Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. Mirtha served on the boards of numerous organizations. She enjoyed her work and was a fully dedicated mother. Mirtha was predeceased by her father Antonio and her brother Delio. She will be sadly missed by her husband Virgil J. Perez, the children Francisco and Nicole Perez, as well as her mother Marina, sister Lerida and husband Manuel, brothers Arismendy and wife Vitelva, Leonardo, Jose and wife Carime, Fredo and wife Rosa, as well as many nephews and nieces and cousins.

A Celebration of Mirtha’s life will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church, 587 Massachusetts Avenue, North Andover, MA 01845 on April 21st 2018, at 1:00pm with the Rev. Richard Haley officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in memory of Mirtha can be made to, Xignus Group a non-profit educational organization at TD Bank.
