On Saturday, December 1, 2018 Louise (Delescluse) Guimond passed peacefully in her sleep.
Born on July 7, 1934 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nalda (Jameson) Delescluse. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Guimond, siblings Celine (Delescluse) Bernier, Joseph Delescluse, and Paul Delescluse.
Louise worked at Victor Service and later Wang Laboratories. She met her husband Robert Guimond in 1961. They married in 1963; raising their family in Lawrence. In 1985 Louise and Robert moved with their children to Haverhill. Louise is remembered with admiration for her tenacity and devotion to her children and husband Robert. She was incredibly skilled in the kitchen and loved baking for her family from Nana’s chocolate cake to her famous banana bread. Louise was a very passionate woman who made her presence known within the family.
Louise is survived by her sister Beatrice (Delescluse) Palmiere, children Patricia (Jalbert) Call and her husband Stephen of Mont Vernon, NH, Wayne Jalbert and his late wife Linda of Haverhill, MA, John Jalbert of Haverhill, MA, and Mark Guimond and his wife Debbie of Easley, South Carolina, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday December 6 at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA. Guests are kindly asked to meet at the church.
