Julia J. DeMarco, 94, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Ivy Hill Court (formerly the Stevens Bennett Home). 

Julia was born in Lawrence, to the late Joseph and Angelina (LaVecchia) DeMarco. She enjoyed many happy times with her sister, Ida, who predeceased her. Julia loved the beach, and enjoyed reminiscing about their many family vacations at Salisbury Beach. In later years, she and Ida spent time at Hampton Beach, where they shared a condo. Julia attended Holy Rosary School and Parish, Lawrence High School, and Macintosh Business School. She worked as a secretary throughout her career, and later retired from Textron. Julia touched everyone’s life that knew her, and she will truly be missed. 

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 12th, from 8:15 to 8:45 AM at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A graveside service will be held following visitation at 9:00 AM in St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker Street, Lawrence.
