Julia M. (Stanina) Aufiero, 102, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover on Friday, August 17, 2018.
The daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Frankonis) Stanina, Julia was born in Lawrence on July 14, 1916 and was educated in Lawrence Schools. She was a lifelong Lawrence resident. She was employed as a coil winder for Raytheon Company for over 20 years, retiring in 1980. After her retirement, she also was employed for Elder Services of Merrimack Valley for many years. She attended St. Mary’s Church in Lawrence and was a member of St. Theresa’s Rainbow Club and the Stopyra Post Ladies Auxillary, P.A.V. of Lawrence.
The wife of the late Guy Aufiero, Julia is survived by her son and his wife, Kenneth and Barbara Aufiero of Martinez, Georgia; Two daughters, Judy Stadelman of Lawrence and Lorraine Delandy and her husband John Rosa of Dracut; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Two sisters Ann Dunleavy of North Andover and Pauline Kerepka of Dracut; Several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service to be held Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
