Joseph H. Boyden

Joseph H. Boyden, 76, of Methuen passed away on Saturday, June 23rd, 2018 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Devoted husband of Annmarie (Powers) Boyden of Methuen, being married 46 years. Loving father of Joseph L. Boyden of Dracut, Kevin J. Boyden of Clearwater, FL, Amy M. Boyden of Methuen, and Carole A. Williams and her husband Mike of Pasadena, MD. Loving Grandpa to Keegan, Molly, Ryan, Colin and Dylan. Brother of Paul Boyden and William Boyden, both of Somerville. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by brothers, Robert Boyden, Daniel Boyden, and James Boyden. Dear brother in law of David and Lorraine Musto, Richard and Bette Musto and the deceased Michael Powers.

Joseph was born in Medford, MA and graduated from Medford High School. He went to work for the MBTA before retiring after 37 years. He was a member of Carmen’s Union, Local 589.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral Mass will be offered at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, June 27th in St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
