She was a gifted painted whose artistry can be seen in the Statues and Stations of the Cross which she painted in St. Monica Church in Methuen. Joan was also an avid gardener and seamstress as well. She was a Eucharistic Minister, visiting the homebound elderly and bringing them Holy Communion.
Joan was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 53 years, Leon A. Coulon.
She is survived by her children, Mark L. Coulon of Hampstead, Leeann Mahoney and her husband Jim of Newburyport, and Michelle Squatrito and her husband Joseph Squatrito of Methuen; Her grandchildren, Emily Shaalman and her husband Greg, Nicole Coulon, Timothy Coulon, and Joey Squatrito.
