Janet L. (Skelly) Houle, 72 of Methuen passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill following a lengthy period of declining health. Mrs. Houle was born in Lawrence September 10, 1944 to the late, David and Jeanet Skelly and was raised and educated in Methuen. Janet was retired from Charles River Lab in Wilmington, MA. She enjoyed playing word games and Bingo with friends and camping at Hidden Valley Campground.

Her family members include her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Houle and her sons, Deric Houle of N. Carolina and Michael Houle of Methuen. Janet also leaves two loving grandchildren, Tabitha Houle and Dean Houle. She was predeceased by her brother, David Skelly and her twin sister, Joyce Stevenson. Janet will be sadly missed by her family and friends and her two pet Yorkies, Izzy and Tuffy.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday December 12, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
