James T. "Jimmy" Kasheta, 57, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at his home with his family.
The son of the late Alphonse J. and Julia M. (Zink) Kasheta, Jim was born in Lawrence on February 13, 1961. He was educated in special education at the Leonard School in Lawrence. He enjoyed his day program at CLASS and more recently at Harborside. He loved to dance and sing along with the radio, especially to "Last Dance", a song by Donna Summer, which they always played at the end of monthly dances which Jim attended, and would not leave until it was played. Jim was a happy, friendly man who loved and was loved by everyone he met. He was a proud member of "Play Among The Stars" theater group, that met on Tuesday evenings and had two shows yearly. Jim resided most of his life in the Greater Lawrence area and attended the former St. Francis Church of Lawrence.
Jim is survived by his sisters; Marie J. Therrien and her husband Russell A. of Methuen, Joanne D. Walsh of Methuen, and Nancy J. Grady of Derry, NH; six nieces and nephews, and their children.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Doris L. Kasheta.
Jim also leaves behind the Charles Martin Family, with whom he resided for over twenty years. They include Charlie and Mari Martin, Michelle Omerod, Maura Hume, Charlie Martin, Jr., Tiffany Pappalardo, Amy Martin (AKA Mr. T), Jonathan Martin and Al McIntire as well as 11 nieces and nephews.

Jim's sisters would like to extend their warmest Thank Yous and appreciation to the Martin Family for the loving care and support given to Jim during the last 20 years.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
