Helen A. Leoncyk, 98, of Lawrence passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Mary Immaculate Nursing/Restorative Center in Lawrence.
The daughter of the late Geronym and Amelia (Amshay) Leoncyk, Helen was born in Lawrence on September 3rd, 1921. Educated in Lawrence schools, she was employed as an assembler at Western Electric, AT&T in North Andover, from where she retired. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and attended the former St. Francis Church of Lawrence. A lifelong resident of Lawrence, Helen enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, her cats, and feeding ducks.
Helen is survived by her brother Francis Leoncyk of Salem, NH, two sisters, Mary Williams of Lawrence and Genevieve Nault of Atkinson, NH, and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Leoncyk, Walter Leoncyk, Anna Leoncyk, and Emily Murphy.
Private services will be held with burial in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
