Frank J. Worthy, 88, of Salem NH died Sunday, May 14th at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen. He was the husband of Laura M. (Pouliot) Worthy, to whom he was married for 63 years. Frank was the son of Charles and Rebecca (Garside) Worthy of Methuen. 

Frank was employed for many years as a computer programmer at the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, from where he retired in 1986. He and Laura enjoyed many winters with their friends in Florida. Frank also leaves the many good friends he had at the Salem Athletic Club, where he enjoyed their camaraderie during his daily workouts. 

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children Michael C. Worthy of Quincy, MA, Kenneth A. Worthy of Berkeley, CA and Lisa J. Worthy of Salem, NH.  He was predeceased by his sisters Ruth Ingalls and Marion Turcotte, and by his sons Frank J. Worthy, Jr. and Mark J. Worthy.

His other survivors include his grandson Christopher Worthy and his wife Whitney of Maynard, MA; granddaughter Elizabeth Hodlin and her husband Kurt of Milton, MA; grandsons Tyler Worthy and Dylan Worthy of Merrimack, NH; and his new great-grandson Wyatt C. Hodlin.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the chapel at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19 at 10:30 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 90 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston.
