Dearest Frankie , I can't tell you how said this news has made me. I have such heartfelt memories of you and Johnny . Dad (Leo Catineau) who always referred to you as his best friend passed away this year to. I'm hoping your playing 45's in heaven right now. : )
I'm not sure you would remember this conversation between us ...but I do and it will remain with for eternity . I was a junior in high school ...I think 1978ish and I just got my license and Dad was driving me to the bus stop in the morning on Essex Street and I would walk to Watts Regulator on Water street after school. I really think you were so proud of me and you said " Wouldn't you love a brand new "RED" car to drive around in ? and I said ummmmm yes : ) and you said let me buy it for you and you can pay me back $5.00 at a time after I die by having Masses said for me : ) . I said in return Dad would never let you buy me a car and you said you don't have to tell him.... we both laughed and you said think about it. ..... well I have thought about it on numerous occasions and it still makes me smile .!! You hugged me after and I thought , someday I'm going to say the same to someone.... and do you know what! 40 years later and I've used that same tactic on others : ) .....yup if you need to pay me back pay by having Masses said for me : ) Well Frankie....your simple act of caring has created an endless ripple and I thank you for that from the very bottom of my heart.
I love you Frankie for loving my Dad ...may you both have a blast in Heaven !! and may the perpetual light shine upon you :
