Erma M. (Brucato) Sarkisian, 77, of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2018, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence.
The daughter of the late John A. and Emma (Hackett) Brucato, Erma was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 8, 1941, and was educated in schools in New York. She resided in various parts of the United States, until settling in Lawrence in 1970. She was a homemaker most of her life, dedicated to raising her family. She loved cooking for her family, and especially being with her family. She also enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos, arts and crafts, and going to Wal-Mart.
Erma was the wife of the late Gregory Sarkisian and the mother of the late Eric Sarkisian, and is survived by her children, Lorraine A. Candiano of Lawrence, John A. Allan of Methuen, and Sarkis G. Sarkisian and his wife Kristin of New Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Kopp and William Kopp, both of Haverhill, MA; three sister, Mary McCluskey of Kingson, NH, Cathy Kopp-Morrison of Fitchburg, MA, and Beverly Ward of Rockledge, FL; many nieces and nephews, and her longtime companion, Joseph Belmo of Lawrence. She was predeceased by her brother, John Carl Brucato of Haverhill.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, November 26, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Dewhirst and Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
