Emily G. Murphy, 92 of Andover passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on August 19th.

Born on August 10, 1925, Emily life most of her adult life in Andover.  Her beloved husband, Thomas preceded her in death 15 years ago.

She leaves behind her niece Donna Cianfrone, her children Michael and Amy; her nephew Richard and his wife Maryann, their children, Jonathan and Matthew. Also, 3 great nieces and nephews.

Emily started her career working in the mills in Lawrence. She was also employee over the years by Eastern Airlines and Avco. She retired from Merrimack College many years ago.

Her passions in life included gardening and knitting. Tessie and Honey, her precious cats, brought her so much joy.

She was a member of Eastern Star, Chapter 90 for most of her life. She worshiped at West Parish Church in Andover.

Services to be held on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Spring Grove Cemetery, 124 Abbott Street, Andover, MA 01810.
