David E. Ratcliffe

David E. Ratcliffe of St. Petersburg, Florida, born September 7, 1956, passed away on November 14, 2018 at his father’s home in Methuen, Massachusetts, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Son of Edward E. Ratcliffe and the late Evelyn J. Ratcliffe, David was born in Alexandria, Virginia where he spent his early childhood years and he then moved with his family to Methuen, Massachusetts where he spent his later childhood years.  David had a 36 year career as a Master Aviation Mechanic with GE Aviation located in Lynn, Massachusetts until he retired on October 1, 2016.  David was very fortunate to remain friends with so many of his co-workers while working at GE Aviation.  David had a great love for playing basketball, fishing, cooking and spending time with his children and especially his newly born grandchild.  In David’s most recent years his dream, when he retired, was to live in Florida at his home he was so proud to own with his wife, Jenifer, so the two of them could enjoy his retirement years together as a loving couple and best friends going to the beach, fishing, boating, swimming, dining, and just enjoying the simple every day moments of their time together including with their cat Bella.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Jenifer Tibert Ratcliffe and, from his former marriage, his daughter Jennifer L. Ratcliffe; his son David J. Ratcliffe and his wife Megan Ratcliffe and his grandson David James Ratcliffe.  David also leaves his two sisters, Diane Fulcerson and her husband James Fulcerson; Donna McRobbie and her husband Kevin McRobbie; two brothers, Bruce Ratcliffe and his wife Deborah Ratcliffe, and Edward Ratcliffe and his wife Gail Ratcliffe, as well as many nieces and nephews.

David E. Ratcliffe was loved by all who knew him and he will be truly missed.
