Corinne M. Berthiaume

Corinne M. Berthiaume, 93, of Lawrence passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at her home after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Berthiaume was born, raised and educated in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was a graduate of Prince of Wales College in P.E.I and taught junior high school there before being married in 1946. At that time, she moved to the United States and made Lawrence her permanent home. For many years, Corinne worked at The Lanam Club of Andover. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Lawrence and is presently a member of St. Patrick Parish, Lawrence.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and had a lifelong love of animals.

Her family members include her husband, Eldon J. Berthiaume of Lawrence and her daughters, Ruth E. Messina and her husband, Peter of Methuen, Carole A. Bonin and her husband, David of Lawrence, Elaine M. Hymer and her husband, Brent of Lawrence, and Lisa J. Singleton and her husband, Richard of Tyngsboro. Corinne also leaves 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Gallant and her sister, Aline Savoie.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at The Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 24 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence.
