Carolyn Theresa Cameron-Azevedo

Carolyn Theresa Cameron-Azevedo went home to be with the Lord on January 5th, 2020. She was born November 18th, 1934 in Lawrence, MA.

Carolyn was married to the first love of her life, George William Cameron, affectionately known as "Mickey" and "Papa".

Carolyn liked to bowl, and legend has it she once bowled a perfect game. Her average score is unknown to this day. She also loved to dance, from swing to the Waltz to --yes-- even disco. A die-hard Red Sox fan, sharing in the heartbreak season after season until 2004 when the Bambino curse was reversed, sweet victory at last!

"Grammy" as her closest called her had a sweet laugh and a sense of humor. She loved and is loved by all of her children and her children's children. She had a way of looking into your eyes making you feel deeply cared for and loved. This is a time of rejoicing; although she will be missed, she is at home with our heavenly Father and ever present with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Carolyn is succeeded by 5 children, Barbara and her husband Mark, Beverly and her husband Timothy, Cheryl, Richard, and Glenn, her stepdaughters of her late second marriage to Edwin Azevedo, Gail, Lynn and Donna, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

You are missed and loved by many, yet we have this hope anchored in us that we will see you again.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2020, from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral service will be offered at 1:30pm in the funeral home chapel between visitation hours.
