Carole E. (Blamire) Hartman

Carole E. (Blamire) Hartman, 85, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

The daughter of the late Wallace and Esther (Federson) Blamire, Carole was born in Andover, MA on April 30, 1933. She attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing. She enlisted into the U.S. Navy, serving in the WAVES. She was a Navy Corpsman at the Newport, RI Naval Hospital for 3 years.

After her discharge, she raised her family and was employed as an inspector at Western Electric, AT&T in North Andover, retiring after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a lifelong resident of Greater Lawrence.

Carole was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends, especially to the Maine coast.

The wife of the late Robert B. Hartman, Carole is survived by two sons and their wives; Robert B. and Donna Hartman of Bedford, NH, and Mark J. and Donna Hartman of Norfolk, VA; Grandchildren; Christina Jones of Wilton, NH; Shawn Hartman of Bedford, NH, and Jonathan Hartman of Virginia Beach, VA; A great-grandson, Camden Jones; a great-granddaughter, Chealsea Jones; and several nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a funeral service on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00AM at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
