Barbara Woodworth, 89, formerly of Methuen, passed away at Berkeley Retirement Center in Lawrence, MA on March 31, 2017 after a short illness.  After growing up in Methuen, Barbara also lived in the Andover and North Andover area.  She attended the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing before marrying and settling down.  She was a faithful member of the 1st Calvary Baptist Church in North Andover, MA.  She volunteered her time at the Andover Thrift Shop, and was a member of the Board of the Berkeley Retirement Home.  Barbara enjoyed spending time in the summers at Cobbett’s Pond in Windham, NH, and loved going to Fort Myers Beach in Florida during the winter.

After 25 years of marriage, Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Webster I. Woodworth.  She leaves behind her two daughters, Dawn Von Gillern of Illinois, and Dale Woodworth of Haverhill, MA.  She was also grand-mother to 5 grand-children: Heather Rebstock, Andrew Von Gillern, Brooke Fermin, Tracy Lupone, and Fred Tarbox.  Barbara had many beautiful great-grandchildren as well.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on April 4, 2017 from 4PM to 7PM at the Charles Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen MA.  Funeral Services will be held on April 5, 2017 at 10:30AM, at the First Calvary Baptist Church, 586 Massachusetts Ave, North Andover, MA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the 1st Calvary Baptist Church in North Andover.
