Angela (Margene) Ferrara,101, formerly of Lawrence, passed away August 14th 2017 at 1 AM, at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on October 18, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Appalonia Margene. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, and was employed by Lawrence General Hospital as a dietician, prior to gaining employment at Western Electric from where she retired after 20 years of service. Angela was devoted to the Lord and her church family, enjoyed crocheting and doing word puzzles. In her early years she was an avid tennis player.

 A devoted and loving mother and Nana, Angela was predeceased in 1989 by her husband of 52 years, Rudy Ferrara, her brothers, John and Benjamin Margene, her sister, Rose Apperti and granddaughter Patricia Romani. She is survived by her sons, John R. Ferrara, his wife Rose, Rudy Ferrara, Robert Ferrara, his wife Tiffany, her six grandchildren, Robert, John, Anthony, Sharon, Caroline and Sherry; their spouses Edwinna, Annette, Vincent, Joshua and ten great grandchildren, Patrice, Anthony, Hanna, Bobby Allen, Adam, Nathan, Jordan, Rebecca, Ava, and Logan, and Great-Great Grandchild Preston, as well as her nieces and nephews.

The Ferrara family would like to give a special thanks to the very dedicated staff of the Nevins for all their care, love and support they gave to Angela.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 18th, from 9 to 11 am, at the Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
