Alfred H. Lyman, 83, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2019 at the Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Boston on August 5, 1936, Alfred “Al” was employed for many years as a printer for Stone and Webster Publishing Company, and also as a mechanic at Boston Bowl in Dorchester. He served many years in the U.S. Army National Guard and Massachusetts National Guard. He was an avid motorcyclist and bowler, and enjoyed singing, dancing and listening to music from his vinyl record collection.
Al is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther (Myotte) Lyman, his children, Beverly Messina, Danny Lyman, Margie and her husband Ron Nastasi, Priscilla Bradford, and Kristine Lyman-Wood and her husband Michael Wood, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marjorie Louise Bodwell.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Dewhirst & Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A service will take place at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
