Muriel H. (Goller) Kuehn

Muriel H. Kuehn – Methuen, MA

Muriel H. Kuehn (98) of Methuen passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024.

Muriel was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on October 30, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles J. Goller and Hattie I. (Bushold) Goller. Muriel lived in Methuen, MA the past 67 years but grew up in Lawrence, MA where she was a Girl Scout in Troop 35 and a member of the gymnastic team at the Lawrence Turn Verein. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1943 and went to McIntosh School, graduated, and worked as a bookkeeper in the comptroller’s office at the Lawrence General Hospital. After her marriage in1951, she was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom.

Muriel was a member of both the former Christ Presbyterian Church and then The United Presbyterian Church until their closures. She then attended The Christian Fellowship Church of the Merrimack Valley in Methuen. She was an avid reader, card player and a big fan of the Brady Era New England Patriots. Muriel’s happiest times were those spent with her family and spending every summer since 1926 at “camp” on Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH.

Ever a true matriarch, Muriel loved and worried about her family and always put their concerns before hers. She will be deeply missed. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Frederick R. Kuehn, who referred to her as “the love of my life.” She leaves a daughter, Krista Bajor and her husband, Peter; a son Jeffrey Kuehn and his fiancée, Phuong Tran; three grandchildren: Sarah Oldfield and her husband, Brad; Eric Bajor and his wife, Brittany; and Jeffrey Bajor and his girlfriend, Courtney Cole. She also leaves a great grandson, Benjamin Bajor. Muriel is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy L. Ramm and a brother, Charles M. Goller.

Muriel’s wish was not to have calling hours. She wanted her family and friends to remember her as they knew her. Services and burial will be private.
