Claire J. Fraser (McCullough) – Methuen, MA
 

It is with great sadness that the family of Claire J. Fraser (McCullough), of Methuen, announced
her peaceful passing on February 21, 2024, at the age of 88.She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 2, 1935, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Claire was the daughter of George and
Josephine McCullough. She was a loving sister to Mary Prenney and the late James McCullough.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Claire’s life was a testament to her love of family. She shared 53 years married to the love her
life, Dickie. Mother of the late Donna Gail DeSousa and her husband Edward DeSousa of N. Reading, George Fraser and his wife Beth of Burlington,
Linda Stehm and her husband Dan of Methuen, and Cheryl Fraser and partner Stephen Trainito
of Manchester. Claire’s family continued to grow, with her grandchildren - Daniel and Michelle
Stehm, Michael, George and Megan Fraser, and Ed and Kristine DeSousa, along with 13 great-
grandchildren.

Claire also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and great friends. She loved her family
and friends unconditionally, and had no favorites.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at
11am at the First Baptist Church, 30 Park St., Methuen, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Claire’s memory may be made to Bread and Roses Soup Kitchen, 58 Newbury St., Lawrence,
