Sharon Kathleen (Sweeney) Corriveau, 75, a longtime resident of Methuen, MA passed away on her birthday, Wednesday November 22, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of James Lawrence Corriveau, Sr. for 54 years. Sharon went to St. James Grammar/High School in Haverhill, MA where she lived with her parents, the late Jerome and Genevieve Sweeney. Sharon attended Essex Aggie hairdressing school immediately following her graduation. She continued to practice her trade at Straight Ahead Hair Designs until her retirement. She dedicated her life to her husband, three children and eight grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharon loved spending time cooking and baking for her family, traveling around the world, her weekly trips to Bingo and especially her trips to Foxwoods with her husband and sisters-in-law. Sharon’s energy and zest for life will forever be missed; but, never forgotten. She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her husband and three children; James Corriveau Jr. and his wife Lisa of Haverhill, MA, Christine Corriveau Berube and her husband Kevin of Merrimac, MA and her twin sister, Cynthia Corriveau Chamberlin and her husband, Kenneth of Pelham, NH. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Jerilyn Sweeney of Salisbury, MA, Tina Ostrowski and her husband, John of Hampton, NH and Walda Highfield and her husband, James of Louisville, KY. Sharon also leaves her eight grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Sharon’s life at The Charles Dewhirst Funeral home, 80 Broadway, Methuen on Monday November 27, 2017 from 3pm to 6:30pm. A memorial service will take place at 5:30pm on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests your donation go to the Cancer institute where her 7 year old great-nephew, John Nickols, is currently receiving treatment.
