Rosemarie Mills was born in Lawrence on June 17, 1942 to Joseph J. Mills and Rita Cardinal Mills.  She passed away at UMass Medical Center on January 3, 2017 following a long illness, her beloved caretakers by her side.   

She is survived by sisters, Elaine Mills of Methuen, Jacqueline Vaughn of North Fort Meyers, Florida and a brother Joseph J. Mills of Ambler, PA, two nephews and many cousins.  She is also survived by her special caretakers at the Paxton House group home in Paxton MA who cared for her for many years. “Rosie” as she was known, loved music, going to the park, shopping and baking.  Rose’s happiness showed through her big gentle smile every day and was a delight to care for and will be sorely missed.

A memorial service will be held at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA on Thursday, January 12, 2016 at 10:00am. Following the memorial services a private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen MA.
