Pedro M. Nieves, Jr., age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 10, 2017. 

Born in Chicago, Ill., Pedro moved to Massachusetts and began a career at GSF Foam Co. While there he assumed a group leader position. After the company shut down, he began working as a self-employed mechanic. 

Pedro is survived by his daughters, Christine (Nieves) Hamel and her husband, Gregory of Raymond, N.H., Melody Nieves and Stephanie Nieves of Kenosha, Wisc., and McKayla Nieves of Methuen; his sons, Matthew and Lorenzo Nieves of Methuen; his mother, Lorraine Rock of Chicago, Ill.; as well as his many siblings, including seven sisters, Carmen Perez of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Isabelle, Irma, and Karen Nieves of Chicago, Ill., Carmen Ramirez, also of Chicago; Ramona Trular and Mariam Sadoval, both of Richmond, Va.; his brothers, George Nieves of Lawrence, Mass., Ray Guzman of Margate, Fla., John and Josh Nieves of Chicago, Ill. He was predeceased by his father, Pedro M. Nieves, Sr. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. 

All services will remain private at Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home.
