Norma Elaine Guillette, 76, passed away on May 17, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, in Haverhill.

Norma was born February 22, 1939, to Albert and Elaine (Poirer) Chatigny in Haverhill. She attended St. Joseph’s Grammar School in Haverhill and St. Anne’s High School in Lawrence. She graduated from Mount St. Mary College, in Hooksett, NH, in 1960.

On November 21, 1959, Norma married Robert Guillette. She worked as senior software engineer for Raytheon for over 25 years, until her retirement. She lived in Methuen until her death.

Norma enjoyed surrounding herself with her family, spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She took delight in family outings, like going to the Lancaster Fair, in Lancaster, NH, and making the annual Mother’s Day trip up to Jefferson, NH to open the cabin. She was an avid knitter and frequented the Nevins Library and the Salem Senior Center.

Norma leaves her husband, Robert Guillette; her daughter, Wendy and her husband Jim Majkut, of Derry, along with their children, Bethany, Christopher and Emily; her son, Andre Guillette, of Methuen; her daughter-in-law Karyn Drago and Matt Demers and their children, Darren, Amanda, Nicholas, Jillian, Ethan and Lilly. She also leaves 2 great grandchildren, Ben and Bailee.

Friends and loved ones are invited to call on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home at 80 Broadway in Methuen. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day on Friday, May 22, at 11:30 am, at St. Monica Parish in Methuen.
