Minerva Rodriguez, 66 passed away on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill MA. Minerva was born and raised in Arroyo, Puerto Rico before moving to Lawrence.

Minerva is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Cosme Rodriguez of Arroyo, Puerto Rico and her four sons Francisco, Cosme, Jose, and Eric. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She briefly worked at the mills in Lawrence then becoming a CNA where she was known as (Minnie) before retiring and returning to Puerto Rico to enjoy retirement and care for her father and fellow family members. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to all that entered her life. 

In her later years she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends and sister in law. She was the one the nieces and nephews counted on to baby sit their children. Minerva touched so many lives and raised her sons to be respectful gentlemen. She was the one woman that her sons’ friends would call MOM. She will be greatly missed. 

The Rodriguez family would like to thank all the friends and family members who cared for her and visited her in her time of need. We would also like to thank Merrimack Valley Hospice House of Haverhill, MA for their time and attention. 

Calling hours will be on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Street in Methuen, MA. A burial service will take place on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Arroyo, Puerto Rico where she will be laid to rest next to her mother Georgina Valentin.
