He worked for various engineering firms overseas including constructing missile sites above the Arctic Circle in Thule, Greenland.  Known as Mike “Amici” he founded Amici Construction Company in Andover in the mid 1960’s  which built many commercial buildings throughout the Merrimack Valley.  Later in life he worked as clerk of the works on several construction projects until retiring at the age of 84.

He played semi-pro football and loved sports of all kinds.  He was a season ticket holder for the Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots.  He enjoyed reading, painting, cooking, WWII history, watching new construction projects and most of all, time spent with his children and grandchildren.  Mike was extremely outgoing and was well known for his generosity and never saying no to a friend in need.

He leaves his loving wife Barbara, his sons and their wives Dann and Georgette of North Andover and Michael Jr. and Marie of East Hampstead, grandchildren Guy Nicolosi Jr., of Hampton, NH, James (Jay) Nicolosi of North Andover, Kenneth Pickard of New York City, Dann Nicolosi, Jr. and Domenic Nicolosi of North Andover and Bianca Nicolosi of East Hampstead, NH.  He leaves his great grandchildren, Guy Nicolosi III, Michael Nicolosi, and Olivia Nicolosi of Hampton, NH.  He leaves a sister Frances Nicolosi of Andover as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.  Mike was predeceased by his son Guy Nicolosi as well as several brothers and sisters.  Mike will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure to know him.
