Mary E. Lynch, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Sutton Hill Nursing Home, in North Andover.

She was born January 25, 1925 to the late John and Elizabeth (Morse) Messer, in Methuen, MA and was a lifelong resident until 2000, when she moved to Newton, NH to live with her son Kevin and his family. Mary graduated from Searles High School in 1942 and St. Johns Nursing School in 1947. She worked at Bon Secours Hospital for more than 30 years before retiring.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Lynch and her son, Michael. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Lynch and his wife Deborah, of Newton, NH; and Brian Lynch of Hudson, NH; as well as her four grandchildren, Noelle, Michael, Cindy, and David.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 11:00am in St. Monica Parish, 212 Lawrence Street, Methuen, with burial to follow in St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
