Mary Atamian

Mary Atamian, 94, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen. She was born on August 19, 1921, to the late Dicran and Anna (Airassian) Atamian. Mary was born and raised in Lawrence. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1939. She lived in Lawrence all her life until moving to Methuen in 2005.

Mary was a member of the Ararat Armenian Congregational Church in Salem, NH, where she sang in the choir, had served as a deacon, and as treasurer. Before retiring, she worked at Western Electric Company.

Mary is survived by her sister Jacqueline H. Agazarian of Methuen; her niece, Rosemary Morel and her children Michael Aaron and Matthew John Morel; her nephews, David Agazarian, Armand H. Garabedian, Richard A. Garabedian, Harry A. Garabedian, and Michael H. Garabedian; and several great-nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, November 12, 2015 between 5 PM and 8 PM, at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen 01844. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 10 AM at the Ararat Armenian Congregational Church, 2 Salem Street, Salem, NH 03079. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name to the Ararat Armenian Congregational Church, 2 Salem Street, Salem, NH 03079.
