Marjorie L. Barton, 95, passed away on January 4, 2017 at the Sutton Hill Center in North Andover, MA.

She was born in Taunton, MA on December 4, 1921, and was raised and educated in Andover. Marjorie was a resident of Lawrence for 30 years. She held many jobs, working as a burler and mender at Pacific Mills, she was then employed by JoGal Shoe as a stapler, and finally worked as a nurse’s aide at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Marjorie was also an attendant of First Calvary Baptist Church in North Andover, MA.

Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Joseph N. Barton, and her adopted parents William and Gertrude (Harrison) Shaw.

Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
