Born on the kitchen table on Parker Street, married the boy next door, and lived in the same Lawrence neighborhood most of her 82 years, Lorraine (Beaulieu) Gorrow passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2015, in the city she called home.

On that day, we lost one of the most kind, loving, caring and strongest women one can ever know. Her family was her life. She was predeceased 50 years ago by her husband Leo J. Gorrow. On her own, she raised their four girls who all grew up to be successful. She was the glue that held the family together, always wanting to be a part of the action. She put her entire family before her own needs.

Memere never missed her grandson's Joe and Justin's activities, proudly watching Joe master falconry and Justin play sports.

She is survived by her daughters Diane Gorrow, Esq. and her friend Peter DeLorey of East Hampstead, NH; Lisa and her husband Dwayne Preble of Derry, NH; Michelle and her husband Gary Narbonne of Lawrence, MA; and Gail Gorrow of Lancaster, NH; her grandson's Joseph Ford of Salem, NH and Justin Narbonne of Lawrence, MA; her sister-in-law Jeanne Diette of Westford, MA; her cousin Sylvia Rheaume of Pompano Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the chapel at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. A funeral mass will be held the following morning at 9:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church in Lawrence. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, located in Andover.

Memorial donations may be made in Lorraine’s name to St. Patrick’s Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence MA 01843.
