Kirk D. Skinner, 55, of Lynn, MA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday  April  7th.  Born in Lawrence, MA he was the son of the late Herbert (Bob) Skinner and Catherine Skinner of Nahant.  Kirk was the loving father to his son Ben Skinner of Astoria NY and daughter Katie Skinner of Reading, MA. 

Kirk was also survived by his two sisters Karen Hirsch of York, ME and her husband Ken; Kerry Hatch of Andover, MA and her husband Tim.  He also leaves several nephews and a niece; Mark, Todd and Kim Patti; Josh, Nathan and Evan Hatch.  

Kirk graduated from Andover High School in 1978, UMASS Amherst in 1982 and Pennsylvania College of Podiatry in 1989. 

Kirk was a compassionate Podiatrist who provided in home care to the residents of the North Shore.  In his spare time Kirk coached his daughter Katie in softball.  He loved to share his knowledge with the teams and he watched each individual improve in their skills.  He loved to coach and was a loved coach. 

Kirk was raised in a home with many pets and he developed a deep love for animals of all kinds, especially Great Danes.  He was an avid football fan and was passionate about the sport.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 16th between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m. with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6 pm.  Both will be held at the Charles  Dewhirst Andover Funeral Home at 33 Pearson Street Andover, MA.
