Jesus M. Diaz

Jesus M. Diaz, 68, of Methuen, died Saturday at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

Jesus was born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico on July 31, 1949 to the late Roque and Valentina (De Jesus) Diaz.

A graduate of InterAmerican University in Puerto Rico, he later earned his Masters Degree in Education from Leslie College in Boston. 

Until his retirement, Jesus was employed in the Lawrence Public School system as an elementary school teacher.

He is survived by his wife Evangelina (Gonzalez) Diaz of Methuen, his son Rick Diaz and his wife Ashley of Colorado Springs, Colorado and his two daughters, Mayra Diaz of Fort Washington, Maryland and Melissa Diaz and husband Christopher of Fairfax, Virginia. Also among his survivors are his siblings Roque, Angela, Maria and Jose Diaz, and four grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
