Jacqueline A. (Bourassa) Crowell, of Methuen, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on March 31, 2015 at the Prescott House in North Andover.

Affectionately known as “Aunty Jackie” by her 27 nieces and nephews, as well as her many grandnieces and grandnephews, she will be sadly missed at our holiday gatherings and family dinners. Her special pies, calzones and French Pork Stuffing were made with tender loving care.

She was born in Methuen on June 11, 1933 to the late Phillippe Bourassa and Georgianna (Paradis) Bourassa. After graduating from Edward Searles High School, she went on to become a legal secretary for a Boston Law firm for many years.

After retiring in 1995, she enjoyed playing cards with her neighbors and friends, taking day trips to Foxwoods and exercising at the Senior Center. She was a member of the “Moving on Up” group and volunteered at the Holy Family Hospital gift shop for many years. She especially enjoyed watching her grandnieces and grandnephews grow and attended their many activities. 

She is predeceased by her sisters Irene and her husband Robert Provencher, Jeannette and her husband Gus Dwyer, Ida Bourassa, and her brothers Emile Bourassa, Rene Bourassa and Denis Bourassa.

She is survived by her sister Doris and her husband Conrad Provencher of Greenstown, PA., sister-in-laws Geraldine Bourassa of Methuen and Cecile Bourassa of Haverhill. 
She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends from Malden, and special neighbors from Prides Crossing. 

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 11:00 am in St. Lucy’s Parish, Methuen. Friends may call on Monday, April 6th from 4 to 8 pm at the Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
