Irene R. Hoyle, 97 a longtime resident of Methuen passed away on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at Wingate at Andover.  Mrs. Hoyle was born, raised and educated in Lawrence and before her retirement she and her husband owned and operated Hoyle’s Pharmacy on Lowell Street, Methuen.  Irene was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church, Methuen.  She was very dedicated to her family and cherished her granddaughter, greatgrandchildren and great greatgrandson.

The widow of Frederic E. Hoyle, her family members include her daughters, Janice I. and her husband, William Barry of Merrimack, NH and Joanne  M. Hoyle and her fiancé, Raymond Tourville of Methuen.  She also leaves her son, Frederic E. Hoyle, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Franconia, NH.  Irene has a brother, Wilfred and his wife Mary Belanger of Methuen as well as her granddaughter, Lori and her husband, Joseph Rackett of Derry, NH and 3 great grandchildren, Micaela, Alec and Ava and a great greatgrandson, Breyden.  She also leaves her loving niece, Andrea Crowe of Andover.
