Gail W. Parent of Bradford, formally of Andover MA, passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital.

Gail was born in Malden Massachusetts to the late Frederick Neally and Rita (Grant) Poirier, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Rita and Yvon Poirier.

Gail was a graduate of Malden High School. She raised her family in Andover, MA and was the founder and owner of Parent Bus Company. She ran her business very successfully for many years.  Most recently she was employed at North Reading Transportation.

The widow of the late Donald G. Parent, Gail is survived by her three daughters, Gayle Burke and her husband Douglas of Methuen, Robin LaBarre and her long-time companion Patrick O'Hagan of Andover and Nancy Parent of Bradford. She is also survived by her two sons Jeffrey Parent and his wife Cheryl of Danville N.H. and David Parent of Bradford.

Also among her survivors are her beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Caitlin, Jamie, Ryan, Lauren, Jarrod, Randi and Justin and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Sophia, Brayden and Marissa. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Brett of Quincy, Eileen Poirier of Danvers, Patricia Sheehan and her husband Joseph of Malden, Elizabeth Heller of Leominster and Joyce Berlan of Allenstown NH, her brother, Paul Poirier and his wife Donna of Hamilton MA, and sister-in-law Betty Poirier of North Reading, MA..

She is predeceased by her brother Robert Poirier.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 11th at 7 PM at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway Methuen. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
